As a Systems Administrator (SA-3) supporting a large-scale Infrastructure-as-a-Service environment, you will play a vital role in sustaining high-performance Linux systems that enable critical operations across the enterprise. This is a hands-on, mission-essential position where your expertise directly ensures system reliability, security, and availability for those who depend on it most.

Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Might Look Like
You will provide frontline and escalated support for a large, complex Linux-based environment, ensuring systems remain operational, secure, and optimized. Your day may include monitoring system health, resolving incidents, supporting users, installing or updating software, and troubleshooting performance issues across compute, storage, and network components. You will manage configurations, analyze system capacity, maintain virtualization platforms, and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve problems quickly. When issues arise, you will diagnose root causes, communicate status, and drive solutions through to completion, helping maintain a stable mission environment at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required)
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university and fifteen (15) years of Systems Administration experience supporting programs of similar scope, type, and complexity. Five (5) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Certifications:
Security+ or equivalent certification required
Required Skills
Strong experience administering large-scale Linux environments using the command line
Proficiency in Bash and/or Python scripting for automation and system management
Experience installing, configuring, and supporting COTS, GOTS, and FOSS software
Knowledge of compute, network, memory, and storage subsystems in enterprise environments
Experience supporting and sustaining large Linux clusters
Familiarity with Red Hat Satellite or comparable systems management tools
Experience with distributed file systems such as Weka, CEPH, GPFS, or HDFS
Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and tools such as SaltStack or Ansible
Experience with enterprise monitoring tools and operational support processes
Knowledge of security compliance practices and maintaining system security posture
Experience supporting containerized environments using Docker
Desired Skills
Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
Familiarity with enterprise logging and analytics tools such as Splunk
Experience with system monitoring tools such as Nagios or HPE OneView
Experience with Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence
Ability to support both Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting activities
Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with stakeholders
Technology Stack
Linux operating systems, Bash and Python scripting, Red Hat Satellite, distributed file systems including Weka, CEPH, GPFS, and HDFS, VMware ESXi virtualization, SaltStack and Ansible for automation, Splunk analytics, HPE OneView and Nagios monitoring tools, Docker containerization, Kubernetes orchestration, Atlassian Jira and Confluence, enterprise compute, storage, and networking platforms.
Compensation Range: $174,000.00 - $224,000.00

The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role.
