Systems Engineer, Next-Gen HPC Architecture

Make an Impact Where It Matters Most

At Intelliforce, we build the environments mission teams need next, not only the ones they use today. In this role, you will help design the next generation of high-performance compute infrastructure for CNO development, shaping how new clusters are built, integrated, and evolved to support emerging workloads, modern pipelines, and future-facing technologies like LLM solutions. This is a strong fit for an engineer who likes big technical problems, modern infrastructure, and the chance to influence where the environment goes next.

What Makes This Opportunity Stand Out

This role gives you real influence over the future technical foundation of a mission environment. You will help define the roadmap for new HPC capabilities, create reusable design patterns, assess aging infrastructure, and architect solutions that connect legacy systems with modern compute platforms. The work blends systems engineering, infrastructure modernization, stakeholder engagement, and technical strategy, so your impact shows up in both immediate improvements and long-term direction.

At Intelliforce, your work is visible and your judgment matters. Because we support prime programs, our teams stay close to meaningful mission work with real momentum. Because we are a small business, leadership is accessible, communication is direct, and strong engineering gets noticed. Add in long-term stability, strong benefits, and a people-first culture, and this becomes more than another infrastructure role. It is a chance to help make CNO a better place to build, test, and deliver mission software.

Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Could Include

  • Design the technical roadmap for next-generation HPC environments supporting CNO development
  • Build reusable patterns and easy-to-adopt templates that help teams leverage new compute and LLM solutions where they make sense
  • Architect end-to-end solutions that connect legacy systems with modern HPC environments while preserving security and improving performance
  • Assess existing infrastructure, document dependencies, and help prioritize modernization based on mission impact, cost, and lifecycle risk
  • Design modern developer workflows and improve how teams interact with their development environment
  • Partner with stakeholders to align technical direction with mission goals and long-term infrastructure strategy
  • Support CI/CD and platform design decisions that help future environments scale cleanly and operate reliably

Minimum Qualifications

  • Clearance: Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph, must be active. We do not have the ability to sponsor clearances
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas
  • 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
  • Four additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in place of a Bachelor’s degree

Required Skills

  • Strong background in corporate services and stakeholder management, including the ability to build ROI models and translate technical decisions for executives, security teams, and mission developers
  • 5 or more years of deep systems engineering and cloud architecture experience, with a proven track record of building, breaking, and rebuilding complex enterprise infrastructure
  • Demonstrated expertise in system design, configuration, and usability in production environments, including hands-on HPC experience
  • Prior experience leading infrastructure modernization and technical transformations, especially incremental migrations rather than lift-and-shift efforts
  • Familiarity with agency-specific cloud compliance nuances, particularly ATO processes and operational constraints
  • Ability to design with both immediate mission needs and longer-term technical evolution in mind

Desired Skills

  • CNO development experience and understanding of what developers need from their environment
  • Enclave experience and familiarity with the architectural constraints of restricted environments
  • Cost optimization expertise, including right-sizing resources, FinOps practices, and evaluating where cloud investment makes sense
  • Familiarity with LLM solution enablement in modern compute environments
  • Experience improving developer workflows and platform usability in mission settings

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 05/31/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
