Your work will strengthen analytic integrity, improve interoperability, and ensure mission data is handled correctly from creation to consumption. You’ll be part of Intelliforce’s core software engineering capability, where technical excellence, ownership, and mission focus are the standard.

Schedule and Work Details

Location: Government or contractor facility in the Ft. Meade, MD area
Schedule: 40 hours per week, normal day-shift hours
Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required

Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Might Include

You’ll work alongside experienced developers to design and deliver new JBlocks capabilities that support expanding data labeling requirements across multiple environments. Your day will include writing and enhancing Java-based services, participating in requirements discussions, contributing across the full software lifecycle, and collaborating with engineers, system teams, and customers. You’ll help maintain a single technical baseline while ensuring performance, security, and compliance remain front and center. Code reviews, CI/CD support, and technical documentation are all part of keeping the platform reliable and mission-ready.

Minimum Qualifications

Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required. We do not have the ability to sponsor clearances.
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field

  • An additional four years of software engineering experience may be substituted for a degree, for a total of seven years

  • Experience aligned to Software Engineer I or II labor categories

Required Skills

  • Professional experience developing software in Java

  • Experience working with REST-based services and PKI concepts

  • Hands-on use of GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and build automation

  • Experience developing in Linux environments

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks independently

  • Experience engaging customers and interfacing across technical teams

Desired Skills

  • Experience collaborating with senior engineers and applying software development best practices

  • Familiarity with development in the eVo environment, including tools such as GreyBox

  • Experience containerizing applications using Docker

  • Experience reviewing, testing, and validating software against design requirements

  • Knowledge of EDH 1/2, ISM, CAPCO, and marking standards

  • Ability to write clear technical documentation, including wikis, blogs, XML, or HTML

Full Technology Stack

This role works primarily with Java-based backend services supported by REST APIs, PKI integrations, and Linux operating systems. The environment leverages GitLab for source control and CI/CD pipelines, Docker for containerization, and standard DevSecOps tooling. Developers collaborate using modern documentation platforms and work within mission systems governed by strict security, marking, and compliance standards.

Compensation Range: $150,000.00 - $198,000.00 
*The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role. Please note that this range is intended as a guideline and is subject to flexibility.
