As a Systems Administrator supporting the High Performance Computing Lab and Integration environment, you will help maintain the infrastructure that powers some of the most advanced computing capabilities in the intelligence community. This role places you at the center of a high-impact engineering environment where system stability, rapid troubleshooting, and operational excellence directly support mission success.

Here's What Your Day-to-Day Might Look Like

You will support the daily operation and sustainment of a large-scale High Performance Computing environment used for development, integration, and testing of mission capabilities. Your work will focus on maintaining Linux-based infrastructure, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting operational issues, and ensuring the environment remains secure and available.

You will install and configure software across clustered systems, automate administrative tasks through scripting, and support virtualization platforms and storage infrastructure. The role also involves working directly with users and engineers to resolve technical issues, optimize system performance, and maintain compliance with enterprise security standards.

Expect to collaborate with engineering teams, troubleshoot complex system problems across compute, storage, and network layers, and help maintain a stable HPC development environment that supports mission innovation.

Minimum Qualifications

Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required)
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university and fifteen (15) years of Systems Administration experience supporting programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Five (5) additional years of relevant Systems Administration experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.

Certification:
Security+ certification required.

Required Skills

Strong Linux administration experience with command line tools and system utilities
Experience developing automation scripts using Bash or Python
Experience installing, configuring, and supporting COTS, GOTS, and open-source software in large Linux cluster environments
Experience administering enterprise Linux systems using Red Hat Satellite for provisioning and patching
Experience supporting storage systems including clustered servers and Fibre Channel SAN storage
Hands-on experience troubleshooting enterprise infrastructure including networking, storage, virtualization, and compute systems
Experience managing Linux system components including storage configuration, networking, load balancing, memory management, and firewalls
Experience supporting virtualized environments such as VMware ESXi
Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code automation using tools such as Ansible or SaltStack
Experience supporting enterprise monitoring and data analysis tools such as Splunk or Elastic Stack
Knowledge of corporate STE/STN security compliance policies and SSP accreditation processes
Strong troubleshooting, customer support, and incident resolution skills

Desired Skills

Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence
Experience using enterprise monitoring platforms such as Nagios or HPE OneView
Experience with container technologies such as Docker
Experience with backup and archiving solutions such as NetBackup or tape backup systems
Experience supporting system sanitization procedures according to US Government policies
Experience with security management platforms such as McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator

Compensation Range: $174,000.00 - $224,000.00 

*The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role. Please note that this range is intended as a guideline and is subject to flexibility.
