About this Role
The Enterprise IdAM Software Engineer will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining mission-critical applications and web services that support an Enterprise-scale Identity and Access Management (IdAM) solution. This position involves hands-on development, integration, and operational maintenance of applications, web services, and tools that enable secure, efficient, and scalable identity management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, integrate, and maintain software solutions to support mission-critical IdAM applications.
  • Build and enhance Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) web services and tools, including integration with COTS LDAP or Virtual Directory.
  • Develop robust, scalable, secure, and high-performance Java/JEE applications hosted on Linux platforms.
  • Integrate and implement APIs and Web Services (SOAP and REST) in support of IdAM solutions.
  • Collaborate with team members to acquire attributes from authoritative sources and implement directory solutions using LDAP protocol.
  • Work with commercial middleware platforms and application servers, such as JBoss, Tomcat, or WebLogic.
  • Provide technical documentation using Confluence, Wiki pages, and other collaborative tools.
  • Ensure adherence to secure software development practices and perform troubleshooting for operational maintenance.
  • Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN, CVS) and ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA, Redmine) to manage workflows and documentation.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment, adhering to core hours and contributing to shared goals with minimal supervision.

Key Technologies and Skills

  • Required Skills:

    • Expertise in Java/JEE programming for high-performance application development.
    • Proficiency in developing and hosting software on Linux (CentOS/RedHat) platforms.
    • Experience with commercial middleware platforms and application servers (e.g., JBoss, Tomcat).
    • Knowledge of API and Web Services implementation (SOAP and REST).
    • Familiarity with LDAP protocol, directories, and replication.
    • Hands-on experience with PKI encryption and authentication.
    • Strong knowledge of relational databases and JDBC programming.
    • Competency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA).
    • Experience with Docker containers.
  • Desired Skills:

    • Experience with Nifi for data integration and processing.
    • Exceptional communication skills for articulating architecture and design concepts.
    • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation using Confluence or Wiki pages.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on mission-critical application development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph 
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
Compensation Range: $179,000.00 - $236,000.00 *
*The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role. Please note that this range is intended as a guideline and is subject to flexibility.
