Experienced Information Systems Engineer II- Fully Cleared (Prime)

About the Role: 

The ISSE will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems throughout their lifecycle. You will conduct security assessments to identify vulnerabilities, enforce compliance with established Information Assurance (IA) standards, and develop mitigation strategies. In this role, you will collaborate closely with architects and developers, embedding security features into operational systems. As a key contributor to the design and implementation of secure architectures, your expertise will be critical to safeguarding our platforms and ensuring compliance with NSA/CSS, NIST, and DoD security frameworks.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct technical security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and non-compliance with IA standards.
  • Design, develop, and integrate security systems across multiple enclave environments with varying classification levels.
  • Build security features into operational systems to ensure compliance with IA and security policies.
  • Assist architects and developers in selecting and implementing appropriate security controls.
  • Provide security planning, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Assess and mitigate system security risks, enforce secure external system relations, and support the building of security architectures.
  • Review Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documentation and provide feedback on compliance.
  • Support security authorization activities following NSA/CSS NISCAP, DoD DIACAP, and NIST RMF frameworks.
Key Technologies and Skills:
  • System Security Design and Engineering Lifecycle
  • Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DoD DIACAP
  • Cross-Domain Solutions
  • Authentication, Authorization, and Cryptography Technologies (COTS/GOTS)
  • Intrusion Detection and Contingency Planning
  • Incident Handling, Change Management, and Security Testing
  • Tools for Vulnerability Assessment and Compliance Reporting
  • Familiarity with NSA/CSS security processes and requirements
Qualifications:
  • 14+ years of experience as an ISSE on programs of similar scope and complexity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline (or 4 additional years of ISSE experience in lieu of degree).
  • CISSP certification required and DoD 8570.01-M compliance with IASAE Level 2 required.
  • Experience in implementing IA principles (confidentiality, integrity, non-repudiation, availability, and access control).
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to engage across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph 
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
Compensation Range: $160,000.00 - $211,000.00
