Engineering custom tools and capabilities in support of national security operations
Reverse engineering software and systems to identify functionalities, vulnerabilities, and integration paths
Designing and prototyping mission-aligned capabilities across diverse platforms
Enhancing and adapting existing toolsets to improve agility and responsiveness in the field
Collaborating with mission users, analysts, operators, and fellow engineers to translate evolving needs into scalable solutions
Developing across Linux, Windows, and embedded environments
Supporting deployed capabilities with technical updates and continuous improvements
Working within tight mission constraints to deliver high-impact, rapidly deployable software
Clearance: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline + 12 years of relevant experience
OR Master’s degree + 10 years of relevant experience
OR 16 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
Experience developing CNO-specific software across Linux, Windows, and/or embedded platforms
Proficiency in reverse engineering tools, especially Ghidra
Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python
Ability to prototype, iterate, and deploy solutions within fast-paced mission environments
Familiarity with version control tools such as Git and Subversion
Experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence)
Adaptability and a willingness to quickly learn new technologies in response to mission shifts
Strong collaboration and communication skills for interfacing directly with mission stakeholders
Knowledge of additional programming/scripting languages: Java, JavaScript, Bash, Assembly (x86/x64), PowerShell, Perl, C#, or Rust
Experience in vulnerability research and exploit development
Familiarity with SIGINT systems, collection, and analysis workflows
Background in offensive security, red teaming, or penetration testing
Understanding of operational tradecraft in CNO tool development and deployment
Comfort operating in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments with mission-driven priorities
