Here’s what your day-to-day might include:
Analyzing system requirements to design test strategies, traceability matrices, and procedures that ensure full coverage and compliance.
Automating test activities and processes using modern test tools and frameworks.
Supporting Agile development efforts through iterative testing and active participation in sprint activities.
Executing a variety of testing efforts, including functional, regression, integration, validation, and compliance testing.
Collaborating with software developers to understand system functionality and implementation to create effective and targeted test cases.
Identifying, documenting, and tracking system defects; verifying software fixes and enhancements.
Evaluating the performance, functionality, and usability of web-based GUIs and API endpoints against defined requirements.
Preparing and delivering results for Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) prior to deployment cycles.
Mentoring junior test engineers and providing day-to-day technical guidance to promote testing excellence across the team.
Maintaining detailed and accurate documentation using collaboration tools such as Confluence and Jira.
Experience with software testing in Agile or iterative development environments.
Proficiency with test automation tools and methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for evaluating test results and system behavior.
Experience creating standard test artifacts including test strategies, test plans, traceability matrices, test cases, and test reports.
Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for test documentation and team collaboration.
Proven ability to evaluate web-based applications and APIs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting test results to technical stakeholders.
Previous experience mentoring or leading test engineering teams.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of scripting or programming for automated test development.
