At Intelliforce, we keep mission systems stable, secure, and ready for real-world operations. As a Watch Desk Systems Engineer, you will sit on the front line. You will spot issues early, drive triage fast, and keep customers informed with clear status and clean reporting. This is customer-defined mission critical work.
Schedule and Work Details
Location: Fort Meade, MD. On-site.
Schedule: Day shift. Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wednesday. 6:00am to 6:00pm.
Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required). We do not have the ability to sponsor clearances.
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas.
Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Might Include
Monitor operating systems and mission applications across a live environment.
Troubleshoot OS, application, dataflow, and network issues. Escalate fast when needed.
Read dashboards and system graphs. Interpret signals. Confirm normal operations.
Generate metrics and customer reports using multiple data sources.
Write and maintain SOPs for Watch Desk staff and customers.
Communicate status clearly in writing and verbally.
Lead a small shift team. Provide direction and practical guidance.
Maintain shift schedules and coverage requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required).
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Education and Experience
Systems Engineering experience supporting programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Security Plus certification required, or willingness to earn it within 6 months.
Experience supporting RTRG mission analytics operations and use.
Required Skills
Systems troubleshooting across hardware and software.
Strong Linux administration and command line skills.
Monitoring and alerting using Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus.
Scripting experience in Python, Ruby, or Bash.
Java familiarity for troubleshooting or support tasks.
SOP development and documentation discipline.
Hands-on familiarity with Rancher, Ansible, Elasticsearch, Redis, Solr, Docker, Kubernetes, and dataflow concepts.
Ability to break down complex issues into concise, accurate status updates.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to lead a small team and guide teammates during high-tempo operations.
Desired Skills
AWS experience.
