Experienced Linux Systems Administrator- Hybrid

About the Role:

Intelliforce is on the lookout for a highly skilled and motivated System Administrator (SA) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the design, planning, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our cutting-edge Information Technology (IT) systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of IT infrastructure, resolving complex issues, and supporting both our internal and external customers. Key Responsibilities:

  • IT System Support: Manage and maintain IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution across client/server, storage, and network devices.
  • Tier 2 Support: Provide Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution to ensure timely and effective issue management.
  • Communication and Escalation: Support the escalation process and communicate system status to the management team and internal customers.
  • Linux System Management: Configure, manage, and maintain Linux operating systems, including the installation and management of virtualization infrastructure.
  • Automation and Scripting: Create and manage scripts for system configurations and processes to optimize efficiency and performance.
  • Dataflow Management: Collaborate with appropriate teams to create and sustain dataflows using Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) solutions.
  • Security Compliance: Work closely with the System Owner, Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), and Designated Authorizing Official (DAO) on the creation, modification, and reaccreditation of System Security Plans and related documentation.

Key Technologies and Skills:

  • Linux Operating Systems: Expertise in configuring and managing Linux environments.
  • Virtualization: Strong experience with virtualization technologies and infrastructure.
  • Scripting: Proficiency in creating and managing scripts for system automation (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • Dataflow Management: Familiarity with COTS and GOTS solutions for dataflow management.
  • Security Compliance: Experience working with System Security Plans and related documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Ten (10) years of experience as a System Administrator (SA) in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university or Five (5) additional years of SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
Compensation Range: $148,000.00 - $158,000.00
