As a System Administrator, you’ll play a key role in supporting the development and production environments behind critical Identity and Access Management (IdAM) systems. Your work will directly impact the performance, security, and stability of platforms responsible for secure authentication and access control. Configuring and maintaining Virtual Machines (VMs) to support application deployment and system performance
Installing, updating, and patching Linux and Windows operating systems in both development and production environments
Performing security hardening, IAVA compliance, and system version upgrades
Monitoring and maintaining overall system health, responding to alerts, and remediating issues as they arise
Supporting ISSO functions and ensuring compliance with security standards and documentation requirements
Using scripting languages such as Bash and Perl to automate tasks and streamline administration
Working with container technologies like Kubernetes and Docker
Maintaining clear and accurate documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to align system support with mission objectives
Managing helpdesk tickets and technical tasks in JIRA, Redmine, or RT Tracker
Coordinating closely with development teams and IT staff to ensure system availability and operational integrity
Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
Experience & Expertise in:
Configuration and maintenance of Virtual Machines
Administration of Linux and Windows systems
Scripting with Bash, Perl, or similar languages
Patching OS and application software
Working with containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Supporting identity directories such as Active Directory or LDAP
General understanding of computer operations, system architectures, and platforms
Managing tasks using ticket tracking systems like Jira, Redmine, or RT Tracker
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
Effective verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with Ansible for automation and configuration management
Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
Previous involvement in ISSO support and maintaining secure, accredited environments
