As a Software Engineer (Dataflow Focus) supporting CNO and the ATPG customer, you’ll design, develop, and optimize critical dataflow infrastructure that keeps operations running efficiently. You’ll work directly with analysts, operators, and developers to identify challenges, deploy innovative solutions, and see your code make a real operational impact. Location: NBP
Schedule: Full-time | 40 hours per week | Day shift
Clearance: Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (required)
Collaborate with ATPG and CNO teams to translate operational requirements into working network and dataflow solutions
Design, develop, and maintain dataflow pipelines and tools to enhance system reliability and performance
Build and expand health monitoring dashboards and observability systems for mission applications and infrastructure
Utilize open source and proprietary tools to collect metrics across software, hardware, and network appliances
Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment workflows
Communicate with customers and stakeholders, gather feedback, and deliver updates on progress and results
Identify inefficiencies and design improvements to enhance operational throughput and system resilience
Clearance: Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (must be active). We do not have the ability to sponsor clearances.
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and twelve (12) years of relevant software engineering experience
OR sixteen (16) years of experience in lieu of a degree
Strong experience developing and maintaining dataflow pipelines
Proficiency with Apache NiFi or similar dataflow platforms
Experience with cross-domain data movement and security solutions
Development experience in Linux-based environments
Familiarity with containerization platforms (Docker, Podman, etc.)
Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence
Programming experience with Python, Go, or Java
Experience deploying and managing open-source tools within the agency ecosystem
Familiarity with Svelte, OpenTelemetry, or OpenObserve
Knowledge of SIGINT collection and analysis systems
Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on dataflow experience
