As a Cloud Platform Software Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting a bespoke data analysis platform relied upon by users across multiple mission sites. You’ll work side-by-side with mission users, rotating between locations, and directly shaping the tools that drive their success. Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Might Include

  • Collaborating with a cross-functional team to innovate, support, and advance mission platforms.

  • Developing Python applications to perform user and data management.

  • Writing and maintaining Ansible playbooks to deploy and manage 50+ servers.

  • Managing and troubleshooting Linux-based servers in cloud environments.

  • Adapting the platform as mission requirements evolve, ensuring scalability and resilience.

  • Partnering with users directly to gather requirements, provide support, and consult on process or code enhancements.

  • Assisting mission partners in developing their own scripts and workflows.

  • Supporting platform innovation with opportunities to grow into frontend development, workflow optimization, and technical leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Clearance: Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (must be active – we cannot sponsor clearances).

  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen (we cannot sponsor visas).

  • Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 8 years of relevant experience.

    • OR 12 years of relevant experience in place of a degree.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with Python, Django, SQL, Ansible, Git, Linux, Redis, and Nginx.

  • Hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting Linux environments and servers.

  • Ability to work directly with customers and adapt quickly to mission needs.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in multi-disciplinary teams.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with JavaScript for frontend development.

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and AWS cloud services.

  • Prior experience supporting IC/DoD missions in user-facing engineering roles.

  • Leadership experience or readiness to step into leadership responsibilities.

Compensation Range: $138,000.00 - $182,000.00 

*The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role. Please note that this range is intended as a guideline and is subject to flexibility.
