About this Role

We are seeking a Level II Software Integration Engineer (SIE) to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in integrating, configuring, and maintaining software tools and services within an advanced Linux-based Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environment. You’ll work with open-source technologies, including Kubernetes and Docker, to enhance operational efficiency and support production environments.

This position offers the opportunity to collaborate within a DevOps culture, leveraging your technical expertise to deliver innovative solutions while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS software.
  • Generate and maintain documentation for the full software stack.
  • Provide sustainment support by updating software as needed.
  • Conduct basic Linux system administration and develop shell scripts.
  • Execute test codes to characterize software performance.
  • Develop tools and services to improve software deployment efficiency in production environments.
  • Troubleshoot and support large Linux clusters and containerized environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operational efficiency.

Key Technologies and Skills

  • Required Skills:

    • Proficiency with Linux CLI and basic system administration.
    • Experience with Bash and Python scripting.
    • Strong understanding of compute, network, memory, and storage system components.
    • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as SaltStack, Puppet, and Ansible.
    • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes administration and monitoring.
    • Proficiency with system monitoring tools like Prometheus/Grafana.
    • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and collaboration tools such as Atlassian JIRA and Confluence.

  • Desired Skills:

    • Experience deploying Kubernetes applications using Helm.
    • Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
    • Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and their application.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience Options:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and six (6) years of demonstrable experience with COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.
    • OR five (5) years of full-time Computer Science-related work and six (6) years of demonstrable experience.
  • Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph 
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen

Compensation Range: $151,000.00 - $199,000.00 *
*The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role. Please note that this range is intended as a guideline and is subject to flexibility.
