We're seeking a Software Engineer with a strong foundation in Linux and a passion for building infrastructure software that supports High Performance Computing (HPC) environments. Designing, developing, testing, and deploying software and services that support HPC system management
Writing automation scripts using Bash or Python to streamline operations and reduce manual overhead
Developing scalable, high-performance software in Python or Rust for large, Linux-based environments
Creating and deploying containerized applications with Docker, PodMan, or containerd
Implementing automated deployments using Ansible
Troubleshooting and resolving software/system issues in production environments
Applying CI/CD practices using tools like GitLab CI and Jenkins
Collaborating through Git for source control and continuous integration
Partnering with system engineers to translate requirements into stable, supportable code
Staying current with emerging tools, technologies, and best practices to improve performance and reliability
Clearance: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
Education & Experience:
Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline + 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer
OR Bachelor’s degree + 7 years of experience
OR 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
Strong command of Linux CLI and automation scripting using Bash or Python
Software development experience with Python and/or Rust in Linux environments
Experience with containerization tools such as Docker, PodMan, or containerd
Familiarity with Ansible for infrastructure automation and deployment
Proven ability to debug and optimize code in complex, live environments
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab CI or Jenkins
Proficiency with Git for version control and collaboration
Solid understanding of secure, scalable software design principles
Knowledge of Datacenter Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools like NetBox
Familiarity with observability platforms such as Splunk
Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) tools like Keycloak
Experience using HashiCorp Vault or other secret management platforms
Proficiency with Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
Exposure to Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments
