As a Software Engineer (SWE-3), you’ll design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge AI systems within a secure High-Performance Computing (HPC) environment. You’ll be at the forefront of integrating Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and secure, scalable cloud-based architectures. Whether you’re optimizing performance, leading development teams, or contributing to the future of secure AI, your code will drive real-world results.

Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Might Include:
  • Designing, developing, testing, and deploying complex software systems
  • Developing secure RAG pipelines, integrating LLMs and knowledge retrieval systems
  • Writing clean, scalable code in Python and Golang within Linux environments
  • Managing containerized applications using Docker, Podman, or containerd
  • Orchestrating services via Kubernetes or Docker Compose
  • Leading and collaborating with agile development teams
  • Monitoring and optimizing systems using Prometheus and Grafana
  • Integrating existing software components and debugging software defects
  • Using Git and GitLab CI for source control and continuous integration
  • Developing and maintaining documentation, diagrams, and system architecture overviews
  • Coordinating with hardware engineers and system architects to ensure alignment on performance goals and constraints
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have a Top Secret clearance with FS Polygraph
Candidates must meet one of the following:
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline + 5 years of relevant SWE experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline + 7 years of relevant SWE experience
  • 9 years of SWE experience in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity (without a degree)
Required Skills:
  • Strong experience with Linux system administration, CLI, and shell scripting
  • Development experience in Python and Golang
  • Experience with Docker, Podman, or containerd
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes or Docker Compose for orchestration
  • Understanding of RAG architectures, LLMs, and embedding models
  • Proficiency with Git and GitLab CI
  • Monitoring experience with Prometheus and Grafana
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience debugging and working with GPU-enabled applications
  • Familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks (e.g., OpenAPI, LangChain)
  • Experience with distributed processing tools like Spark, Dask, or Ray
  • Database experience with SQL, Elasticsearch, and Vector databases
  • Front-end familiarity with HTMX or HyperScript
  • Understanding of multi-node, multi-GPU model training environments
  • Knowledge of AI inferencing tools such as Nvidia NIM/TRITON, vLLM, or Ray-based deployment
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence)

Compensation Range: $215,000.00 - $237,000.00
*The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role.
