Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Might Include
You design, implement, and optimize scalable infrastructure supporting AI model inference. You support production AI services and applications, including retrieval augmented generation, autonomous agents, and emerging AI capabilities. You take ownership of loosely defined problem spaces and turn them into structured, reliable solutions. You help drive adoption of new tools, technologies, and engineering practices across teams. You implement monitoring, logging, and observability to ensure platform visibility and performance. You automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using infrastructure-as-code principles. You ensure AI platform components meet availability, reliability, performance, and security expectations. You provide technical guidance and informal mentorship to junior engineers while collaborating across disciplines.
Minimum Qualifications
Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required.
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is required. Four additional years of relevant software engineering experience may be substituted for the degree. Eight or more years of experience building, integrating, and operating production software systems of similar scope and complexity.
Required Skills
Proven experience building and maintaining production systems at scale. Strong background in high-volume web application architectures and performance optimization. Hands-on experience integrating complex systems across diverse technologies and platforms. Cloud engineering experience in AWS environments. Strong proficiency administering and deploying workloads on Kubernetes. Advanced Python development skills.
Experience implementing observability solutions using tools such as APM platforms, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Prometheus. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Ability to manage change, influence technical direction, and operate effectively in ambiguous environments. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Desired Skills
Experience with AI inference serving technologies such as vLLM or LiteLLM. Prior experience with agentic frameworks such as LangChain. Knowledge of vector databases and embedding systems. Experience working with high-performance computing or distributed systems.
Technology Stack
This role works across a modern AI and platform stack including Python services, Kubernetes-based container orchestration, AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code tooling, AI inference platforms, retrieval augmented generation systems, agent frameworks, observability tooling such as Grafana and Prometheus, and scalable distributed service architectures.
Compensation Range: $138,000.00 - $182,000.00

The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role.
