About this Role
We are seeking a Senior Security Architect and ISSO to support high-priority programs such as MFAMS, TITUS, and JBlocks. In this role, you will lead efforts to ensure system security compliance, support accreditation processes, and implement robust security architecture across projects. As a key contributor, you will collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and administrators to enhance security practices and maintain system integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs).
  • Collaborate with ISSMs and DAOs to ensure systems achieve and sustain IATT and ATO accreditation.
  • Implement continuous monitoring techniques to evaluate and improve system security posture.
  • Create tasking for developers and system administrators to address patching and changes.
  • Ensure the implementation of security policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Track and resolve Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M).
  • Review audit logs and ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Perform and oversee secure data transfers.
  • Conduct technical security risk assessments and analysis of alternatives.

Key Technologies and Skills

  • Required Skills:

    • Proficiency with ICD 503/NIST 800-53 certification and accreditation processes.
    • Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
    • Experience developing and maintaining SSPs.
    • Expertise in reviewing and addressing IAVA, interpreting security scan results, and interfacing with system administrators and software engineers.
    • Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)-based authentication.
    • Understanding of technical security risk assessment fundamentals and alternative analysis.
  • Desired Skills:

    • Proficiency with task tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Redmine, ServiceNow).
    • Experience with hardware/software security implementation and encryption techniques/tools.
    • Strong understanding of IC-specific security policies.
    • Hands-on experience with communication protocols and current security tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
    • Ten (10) years of experience as an ISSO on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
    • Four (4) additional years of ISSO experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
  • CWIP Certification: Must hold one of the following baseline certifications: CAP, CND, Cloud+, GSLC, Security+ CE, or HCISPP.
  • At least two (2) of the following areas of expertise:
    • Knowledge of current security tools.
    • Hardware/software security implementation.
    • Communication protocols.
    • Encryption techniques/tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas and status updates effectively.
  • Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph 
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
Compensation Range: $147,000.00 - $194,000.00 *
*The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role. Please note that this range is intended as a guideline and is subject to flexibility.
