Experienced Systems Engineer - NiFi and Integration Specialist (Prime)

About this Role
As an Experienced Systems Engineer at Intelliforce, you will work closely with stakeholders to analyze requirements, develop system specifications, and lead design and integration activities. This role will have a strong focus on NiFi solutions and RKE2 Kubernetes integration, ensuring the seamless operation of critical infrastructure. Your contributions will directly support mission-critical objectives, and you will play a pivotal role in maintaining system integrity and resolving issues in real time.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
- Lead the design and development of technical systems, ensuring alignment with mission needs.
- Troubleshoot, install, and implement NiFi solutions, including creating and optimizing data flows in dynamic environments.
- Integrate and manage RKE2 (Rancher Kubernetes) and Ceph storage solutions, ensuring seamless operation.
- Provide after-hours support for urgent NiFi and integration issues, resolving problems with minimal downtime.
- Guide users in formulating requirements, evaluate alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, design documentation, and integration plans.
- Prepare and assess system engineering management and integration test plans.
- Act as a technical liaison with government and program stakeholders, ensuring technical integrity across all deliverables.
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and senior executives to align technical direction and resolve issues.
Key Technologies and Skills
- NiFi Expertise: Installation, troubleshooting, and development of complex data flows.
- RKE2 Kubernetes: Deployment, management, and troubleshooting of Kubernetes pods and applications.
- Ceph Storage Management: Installation, updates, and issue resolution for Ceph storage systems.
- Systems Engineering principles: Requirements analysis, system architecture design, and technical documentation.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work in high-pressure environments.
- Strong communication skills to interact with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Experience: Fourteen (14) years of Systems Engineering experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Note: Five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in designing, troubleshooting, and maintaining NiFi, Kubernetes (RKE2), and Ceph storage solutions.
- Ability to provide real-time, after-hours technical support when required.
- Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
