About this Role
As a Cloud-Integrated Software Solutions Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in integrating, configuring, and supporting cutting-edge software systems in a PaaS Linux environment. Working at the forefront of containerized cloud solutions, you will collaborate across disciplines to enhance software efficiency within a DevOps culture. Key Responsibilities
- Integrate, install, configure, upgrade, and support COTS/GOTS software in diverse operating system environments.
- Generate and maintain comprehensive documentation for the full software stack.
- Execute and analyze test codes for characterizing software performance and improving functionality.
- Develop, sustain, and optimize software tools and services for an ‘on-prem’ cloud platform utilizing Kubernetes, Docker, Weka, Vault, and InfoBlox.
- Provide software product ownership for high-performance computing (HPC) tools, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
- Administer large Linux clusters and troubleshoot system issues with precision.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive system monitoring and process enhancements.
Key Technologies and Skills
Required Skills:
- Linux CLI expertise
- Bash/Python scripting experience
- Strong understanding of compute, network, memory, and storage system components
- Containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Administration/monitoring of Kubernetes clusters
- IaC automation tools (e.g., Ansible, SaltStack, Puppet)
- System monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
- Experience with Git for version control and Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
Desired Skills:
- Helm for deploying Kubernetes applications
- CI/CD pipelines using GitLab
- Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and best practices
Qualifications
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field with at least 8 years of experience in software integration and support.
- Alternatively, 5 years of full-time computer science-related work and 8 years of experience can substitute for a degree.
- Master’s Degree in a related field may substitute for 2 years of experience.
- Industry-recognized certifications may substitute for 1 year of experience.
- Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
