About this Role
We are seeking a Software Automation Engineer to join our team and support mission-focused initiatives through advanced automation, testing, and development. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and problem-solving to design and implement automation frameworks that enhance the performance and efficiency of software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps, and quality assurance, to ensure robust and scalable systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cucumber/Gherkin, and Cypress.
- Conduct performance testing with JMeter and API testing with Swagger or similar tools.
- Perform accessibility (508) testing using tools such as JAWS or NVDA.
- Collaborate with software engineers to design, debug, and optimize automation workflows.
- Support containerized environments using Kubernetes and Docker.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless software delivery and deployment.
- Develop scripts and automation solutions using programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, and Ansible.
- Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to improve software quality.
Key Technologies and Skills
- Tools:
- Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber/Gherkin, JMeter, Swagger (or similar API tools).
- Accessibility testing tools (JAWS, NVDA).
- Software Languages:
- Java, JavaScript, Python, Ansible.
- Other Technologies:
- Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus six (6) years of relevant experience.
- OR a Master’s degree plus four (4) years of relevant experience.
- OR an Associate’s degree plus eight (8) years of relevant experience.
- OR a high school diploma/GED plus ten (10) years of relevant experience. Certifications may be substituted for one year of experience.
- Certifications such as AWS, Kubernetes, or related areas are a plus.
- Technical experience in the domain skillsets outlined in the posting may waive degree requirements.
- Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
