Junior Systems Administrator - Fully Cleared

In this role, you support Intelliforce’s mission by keeping critical ICAM environments stable, secure, and available. Your work helps maintain the systems that identity, access, and mission workflows rely on every day. You support development and production environments, ensure systems follow compliance and security requirements, and keep core ICAM capabilities operating reliably.
Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Might Include
- Configure and maintain Virtual Machines for development and production
- Load, update, and secure Linux operating systems and software
- Apply patches, handle IAVA updates, and monitor system health
- Support ISSOs and ISSEs with security accreditation tasks
- Write and maintain SOPs and technical documentation
- Troubleshoot issues and coordinate fixes across engineering and admin teams
- Track work in ticketing systems and communicate status clearly
Minimum Qualifications
Clearance: Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (must be active). We do not have the ability to sponsor clearances.
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas.
Experience and Education:
- 3+ years of System Administrator experience
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline
- Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree, for a total of 7 years
Required Skills
- VM configuration and maintenance
- Linux operating systems
- Scripting in Bash, Perl, or similar
- OS and software patching, including IAVA compliance
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Strong communication skills
Desired Skills
- Docker containerization and Kubernetes
- Public Key Infrastructure
- Secrets and vault management tools
- Active Directory or LDAP
- Networking and load balancing
- Jira, Redmine, or similar ticketing tools
- Ability to work independently and with a team
Work Schedule
- 40 hours per week
- Normal day-shift hours
- Core hours 0900-1500
Work Location
- Government or contractor facility in the Ft. Meade, MD area
Work Environment
You work in a collaborative environment with network engineers, platform engineers, and system administrators. You manage your workload independently with limited supervision.
Compensation Range: $105,000.00 - $130,000.00
