About the Role:
As a Senior Software Engineer at Intelliforce, you will play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of complex software systems. You’ll work alongside a highly skilled and diverse team, ensuring seamless integration and operation of IT infrastructure. Your expertise in Linux, Red Hat, and container technologies will be critical to the success of the systems you design and maintain. You’ll have ownership of key initiatives, work independently on projects, and contribute to the troubleshooting and resolution of system issues. Your work will directly support our clients' missions while furthering Intelliforce’s goal of delivering cutting-edge solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software systems using Red Hat, Linux, and Unix-based technologies.
  • Leverage container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Rancher to manage and deploy applications efficiently.
  • Automate system processes using tools like Puppet to maintain consistency and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot software and system issues, monitor performance, and proactively implement solutions to ensure high availability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of systems and technology solutions.
  • Take ownership of projects from planning through execution and contribute to ongoing system improvements.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers while maintaining a hands-on role in development.

Key Technologies and Skills:

  • Strong experience with Red Hat, Linux, and Unix systems.
  • Expertise in automation and configuration management using Puppet.
  • Hands-on experience with Rancher and Kubernetes for containerized application management.
  • Deep knowledge of system administration, network protocols, and performance tuning.
  • Strong ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and deliver high-quality results.
  • Familiarity with cloud systems, virtualization technologies, and container orchestration tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

  • 20 years of experience in software engineering or systems engineering with a technical bachelor’s degree, or 25 years of experience without a degree.
  • Proven track record of independently designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale systems.
  • Strong understanding of modern system architectures, automation tools, and containerized environments.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to evolving technical challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen

Compensation Range: $173,000.00 - $228,000.00
