We’re seeking a Kubernetes and DevSecOps Systems Engineer to support a mission-critical Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) platform. Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Might Include
Managing Kubernetes (K8s) clusters across multiple environments using Rancher
Leading or supporting the resolution of outages, infrastructure issues, and DevSecOps bottlenecks
Providing subject matter expertise to internal teams and external stakeholders on Kubernetes, Rancher, and DevSecOps tooling
Supporting DevSecOps, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure initiatives in collaboration with engineering leads
Maintaining and enhancing the AdmitIT ICAM platform, including documentation of architecture and design
Offering hands-on support for software installation, system performance tuning, and configuration management
Writing and updating user guides, SOPs, release notes, and installation instructions for ICAM services
Partnering with developers, testers, and capability teams to support requirements definition, sprint planning, and system testing
Assisting with RMF/DoD accreditation documentation and contributing to cloud security architecture strategies
Participating in system architecture development, scalability planning, and technology assessments
Minimum Qualifications
Clearance: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline + 5 years of relevant experience
OR 9 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
Required Skills
Proven experience managing Kubernetes clusters using Rancher
Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (especially AWS)
Hands-on experience with system setup, troubleshooting, and configuration management
Proficiency with technologies including:
Java, SpringBoot, Docker, Node.js
GitLab CI/CD, REST, JSON, XML, Linux
Elasticsearch and relational/NoSQL databases like Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL
Understanding of PKI, TLS/SSL, and secure communications protocols
Ability to work independently and across interdisciplinary teams
Desired Qualifications
Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments
Ability to define, communicate, and resolve complex system integration challenges
Experience briefing senior leadership and technical stakeholders
Proficient in requirements analysis, functional allocation, and system design
Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, EDH1/2, ISM, CAPCO, and CUI compliance standards
Comfortable working in fast-paced, multi-deployment environments
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional meetings and technical discussions
Self-motivated and highly organized with adaptability to evolving priorities
