As a Software Integration Engineer supporting the CloudOPS team, you will play a critical role in bringing complex mission services to life across both on-premises enclaves and AWS cloud environments. This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving real problems, working across diverse technologies, and ensuring operational systems remain reliable, secure, and ready for action.

Schedule: Standard mission schedule; on-call support required

Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required)
Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Might Look Like
Integrating and deploying mission software across hybrid environments spanning secure enclaves and AWS
Installing, configuring, upgrading, and sustaining COTS, GOTS, and open-source tools that support operational capabilities
Writing Bash and Python scripts to automate routine tasks and improve system reliability
Performing Linux system administration to maintain healthy, stable production environments
Troubleshooting performance issues and operational incidents across the full software stack
Supporting containerized services and ensuring smooth operation within orchestration environments
Collaborating with development, operations, and mission teams to deliver stable releases
Generating documentation to support sustainment, compliance, and knowledge transfer
Executing tests to validate performance and readiness of deployed systems
Minimum Qualifications
Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required)
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least eight (8) years of experience integrating, installing, configuring, compiling, upgrading, and supporting software in heterogeneous environments
OR five (5) years of directly related experience may substitute for the degree with eight (8) years total relevant experience
A Master’s degree may substitute for two (2) years of experience
Industry certifications may count toward experience as defined by contract requirements
Required Skills
Strong Linux system administration experience and command-line proficiency
Experience installing and sustaining COTS, GOTS, and FOSS software in Linux environments
Ability to automate processes using Bash or Python scripting
Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Podman, or containerd
Familiarity with DevOps concepts including CI/CD and source control systems
Experience supporting distributed data platforms, including Hadoop ecosystem tools
Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Accumulo
Experience implementing infrastructure automation using tools such as Ansible, Salt, or Puppet
Familiarity with system monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues across software, infrastructure, and networking layers
Desired Skills
Experience with AWS cloud services
Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite including Jira and Confluence
Experience supporting containerized production environments
Background working in high-availability mission systems
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced operational environments
Technology Stack
Linux operating systems, Bash, Python, Docker, Podman, containerd, Hadoop ecosystem tools including NiFi and HDFS, MongoDB, Accumulo, Ansible, Salt, Puppet, Prometheus, Grafana, CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, AWS cloud services, Atlassian Jira and Confluence, heterogeneous on-prem and cloud architectures.
Compensation Range: $173,000.00 - $222,000.00
*The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role.
