About this Role
As an Advanced CNO Reverse Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, prototyping, and integrating solutions to address complex mission requirements. This role focuses on reverse engineering network-based devices and developing impactful solutions. You will collaborate with analysts, operators, data scientists, and fellow engineers to provide tactical mission support, augment toolsets, and deliver cutting-edge solutions that align with mission constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Reverse engineer Linux-based network devices to identify vulnerabilities and create innovative solutions.
- Augment and enhance existing toolsets for mission-critical applications.
- Derive, document, and analyze mission requirements to ensure solutions meet operational needs.
- Build prototypes to demonstrate understanding of requirements and feasibility.
- Develop robust software systems in C, C++, Python, and Assembly.
- Analyze and interpret network traffic using tools like Wireshark and a deep understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP).
- Provide support for deployed software systems and ensure continuous mission alignment.
Key Technologies and Skills
Required Skills
- Proficiency with Unix-based systems.
- Experience with reverse engineering Linux-based network devices.
- In-depth understanding of network protocols and traffic analysis.
- Development expertise in C, C++, Python, and Assembly.
- Familiarity with Git and Subversion version control systems.
- Experience with Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with reverse engineering Windows or embedded platforms (e.g., RTOS).
- Knowledge of additional programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell, Perl, C#, or Rust.
- Experience developing CNO-specific software for Linux, Windows, or embedded applications.
- Background in vulnerability research and exploit development.
- Familiarity with end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems.
- Experience with production CNO capabilities and operations.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 12 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 10 years of experience.
- Substitution: Four additional years of software engineering experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
- Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
