We're looking for a Software Engineer (Level 2 or 3) to join our Analytic Hosting Services (ANSWERLAKE) team. This engineer will help shape and sustain a high-impact Kubernetes environment hosting analytic services across multiple secure networks.
  • You’ll be embedded with a tight-knit DevOps team, working on modern infrastructure and microservices that support mission-critical operations. Here's What Your Day to Day Might Include
  • Designing and developing microservices using Java and the Spring framework
  • Managing Kubernetes-based infrastructure using Rancher and Helm
  • Supporting deployment automation through GitLab CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborating with DevOps engineers to ensure services are reliable, scalable, and secure
  • Interfacing with Linux-based systems and CLI tools to manage environments
  • Participating in Agile ceremonies and tracking tasks via Jira and Confluence
  • Supporting environments hosted in HCI and AWS ecosystems
  • Maintaining compliance and performing patching and sustainment tasks as needed
  • Supporting dashboards and observability via Grafana and Elasticsearch/Opensearch
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Clearance: TS/SCI with FSP
  • Citizenship: US Citizen
  • Experience developing microservices in Java
  • Familiarity with the Spring framework
  • Experience with Linux CLI and system operations
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Rancher, and Helm
  • Working knowledge of GitLab CI/CD
  • Comfortable navigating and using the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence)
  • Experience deploying within HCI or AWS environments
  • Desired Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Elasticsearch/Opensearch and Grafana dashboards
  • Experience with Terraform, Salt, or Ansible
  • Background in system sustainment and compliance, including SSP documentation and patching
  • Understanding of STE/STN security compliance policies
  • Security+ (CWIP) certification a plus, but not required
 
Education:
  • A minimum of 14 years of experience as a Software Engineer supporting programs of similar scope, type, and complexity. 
  • A bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, , or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. 
  • In lieu of a degree, an additional 5 years of relevant systems engineering experience may be substituted. 

Work Schedule
Telework: Up to 2 days per week
Compensation Range: $207,000.00 - $228,000.00
*The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role.
